This personal data processing policy ("Privacy Policy") describes how iWatt ("iWatt", "us", "our", "we") collects and processes information about you.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data that you provide to us or that we collect via iWatt's website www. iWatt.dk (the "Website").

Energidrift ApS is the data controller of your personal data. All enquiries to iWatt ApS must be made via the contact information listed in section 6.

1. iWatt ApS collection of your personal data

What personal data do we collect and for what purposes?

1.1 When you visit the Website, we automatically collect information about you, e.g. the type of browser you use, the search terms you use on the Website, your IP address and information about your computer, in order to optimise the conversion on the Website, improve it and perform targeted marketing.

1.2 When you purchase a product on the Website, we collect information about you, e.g. name, address, email address, telephone number, information about which products you purchase and possibly have returned, for the purpose of being able to deliver products to you and for the fulfilment of our bookkeeping obligations.

When you create a profile or make a purchase, you have the option to consent to receive email marketing. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the marketing you receive.

What is the basis for the collection?

The collection of data cf. point 1.1 is necessary in order for us to improve functions on the Website, improve the structure of the Website and offer you relevant offers.

The collection of data, cf. section 1.2, is necessary for us to fulfil our agreement with you.

2. Use of data processors

We use external companies to, among other things, carry out the technical operation of the Website. For example, our suppliers assist us in connection with the execution of targeted marketing, including for retargeting, and improvement of the Website and for your evaluation of our products. These companies are data processors. They are under our instructions and process data for which we are the data controller. The data processors may not use the data for any purpose other than the fulfilment of the agreement with us and are subject to confidentiality.

One of these data processors, Google Analytics v/Google Inc, is established in the USA. The necessary guarantees for the transfer of data to the USA are ensured through the data processor's certification under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. A copy of the certification can be found

3. Your rights

In order to create transparency regarding the processing of your data, we as a data controller must inform you of your rights.

3.1 The right of access

You are entitled at any time in writing to

request information about, among other things, what information we have registered about you, what purpose the registration serves, what categories of personal data and recipients of information there may be, as well as information about where the information originates.

3.2 The right to rectification

You have the right to have inaccurate personal data about yourself rectified by us. If you become aware that there are errors in the information we have registered about you, you are encouraged to contact us in writing so that the information can be corrected.

3.3 The right to erasure

In certain cases, you have the right to have all or some of your personal data erased by us, e.g. if you withdraw your consent to your registration for marketing. To the extent that processing of your data is necessary, e.g. to fulfil our bookkeeping obligations, we are not obliged to delete your personal data.

3.4 The right to restrict processing to storage

In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted to storage only, e.g. if you believe that the data we process about you is inaccurate.

3.5 The right to data portability

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transfer this data to another data controller when we collect your personal data in connection with your purchase of a product from us, cf. section 1.2.

3.6 Right to object

You have the right at any time to object, on specific grounds, to our processing of your personal data that we collect for the purpose of improving the functionality and structure of the Website, cf. section 1.1.

If you object to the processing, we are no longer entitled to process your personal data unless we can demonstrate legitimate grounds for continued processing.

3.7 The right to complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint at any time with

3.8 Deletion of personal data

If you do not make use of our Website for a period of 1 year, we will automatically delete the data we have registered about you, however, in order to fulfil legal requirements, including requirements in accounting legislation (5 years from the end of the financial year) and consumer legislation (the 2-year right of complaint), we may store certain personal data for a longer period.

Information that we have collected in connection with you having given your consent for us to send you marketing by email, SMS and post will be deleted if you withdraw your consent, unless we are entitled to continue processing, cf. section 1.

3.9 Security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration or deterioration of personal data and against unauthorised disclosure or misuse.

Only employees who have a genuine need to access your personal data in order to perform their work have access to your personal data.

4. cookies

iWatt ApS uses cookies to give the user the best experience on the Website. A cookie is a file that is stored in your browser on the device you use. The file can contain whatever information the Website places in it.

The purpose of using cookies on the Website is to make the site work for optimisation so that we can give the user the very best experience, for traffic analysis and for targeted marketing. Part of using cookies for these purposes is that iWatt ApS can analyse user trends.

You can prevent cookies from being saved at any time. By default, cookies are enabled in modern browsers such as Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge and Firefox. Therefore, you do not need to do anything for us to provide you with the best experience. If, on the other hand, you do not want to use cookies, you can find settings in your browser to switch cookies off completely. The disadvantage of this is that we can no longer ensure you the best experience, and in some cases you may find that the Website does not function optimally.
